What isReal processes

isReal analyzes only screenshots you deliberately select. Apple's Vision framework reads the screenshot on your device. The screenshot itself is not uploaded to our analysis server.

Text sent for analysis

Extracted text, detected links, and your language setting are sent securely to our server so we can produce a scam-risk report. This content may include personal information visible in the screenshot, so you should avoid submitting content you do not want analyzed.

How information is used

• To identify common scam warning signs and prepare safer next steps.
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve isReal.
• To prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers

We use infrastructure and analysis providers, including Vercel and OpenAI, to process requests on our behalf. Requests to OpenAI are configured not to be stored by the API. Apple processes purchases, subscriptions, and payment information under Apple's own privacy terms. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure.

Scan history and retention

Saved scan reports are stored locally on your device. isReal does not save the selected screenshot or its extracted text in your scan history. Server and infrastructure providers may retain limited operational and security logs according to their policies.

Your choices

You can delete individual saved reports in the app and remove all locally stored data by deleting the app. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple ID settings and control notification permission in iOS Settings.

Children

isReal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security and changes

We use reasonable safeguards, but no system is completely secure. We may update this policy as the product changes and will post the current version on this page with a revised effective date.
